Jesus Was God Who Took on Human Flesh

WEEK OF APRIL 12, 2019

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14, NKJV)

It is fundamental to the Christian faith that Jesus Christ was born a human being, lived, died, and then He was resurrected from the dead and ascended into heaven. If this were not the case, then the Lord would have remained inaccessible to people. God in His infinite wisdom and love for the world took on human form and came to live as a man among humans. He shared in their joy and sorrow as well as suffered the same pain and emotions that they did. Thus, Jesus understands people and life along with the good as well as the bad. If Jesus had not taken on a human form, we would not have known the impact His life made on humanity. But, because He did and we have witnessed the impact His life made it is now our responsibility to let the world see Jesus through the way we live our life. Our task is made easier by knowing that Jesus understands because He walked this same path through the world.
