The Holy Spirit Empowers

Week of April 26, 2019

“That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to  be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man.”  Ephesians 3:16, NKJV)

The Bible tells us in a straightforward way that all have sinned and that we all fall short of the glory of God.  However, if you believe that God has forgiven your sins, it is futile to remind yourself of those sins constantly.  If God has forgiven you, you must forgive yourself.

When God forgave your sins, He didn’t leave a void in your life; He placed the Holy Spirit in your heart.  When we allow the Holy Spirit to take control of our life and mind, it will have a positive effect on the way we live.  Allow Him to take root and grow in your character and personality.

The more sensitive you become to the stirring of the Holy Spirit, the more He will guide you into His truth.  The Holy Spirit will give you the discernment to know what is true and what teachings contradict the word of God.  Those who try to serve Christ in their own strength will eventually find that their ministry lacks purpose.

Always be sensitive to the Spirit and open up your heat and life to His influence.  He will enable you to serve Jesus in the ways He meant for you too.  He holds our hand to keep us from stumbling; He gives us the courage to walk forward when the path is dark. He helps us handle life challenges and deal with our imperfections.  This is why it is so important for us to have the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
