“Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord” Luke 1:45 (NKJV).

In the Kingdom of God, believing is a prerequisite to receiving His blessing. God spoke to Mary and gave her the assurance He always gives when He assigns to His people that which look to be impossible. Everything was in place for God to act, Mary only had to believe. Once she believed it was done.

This reliance on believing has always been God’s way with His people. Mary could not see all that had been arranged such as the legions of angels prepared to protect her and her baby. She was unaware of the future and all perils that she and her child would soon face. All she knew was that God had spoken to her and that was enough. She made this remarkable statement, “let it be to me according to your word.” We can glean much from that verse.

When God speaks to you about His plans for your life He already has everything in place to bring it to fruition. He is just asking that we believe. Mary could not have dreamed all that would result from her obedience and just the same, neither can we. God has great things in store to those who believe. So will you take that step and believe Him?
