A Noticeable Difference

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled.  And they realized that they had been with Jesus.” (Acts 4:13, NKJV)

The Bible teaches us that some of the disciples were vain and others were fearful when Jesus recruited them. The disciples James and John even sought to outmaneuver their fellow disciples in hopes that they could secure a place next to Jesus in glory. But in the end, all twelve of them fled in fear during His crucifixion. To know these disciples is to understand they were not the kind of men you would think could build His kingdom. Yet something great happened to them when they were with Jesus. Their lives were transformed after the resurrection and from the power of the Holy Spirit they were given wisdom and boldness. Even their enemies noticed their changed lives.

When Christ has transformed you it is not necessary to feel the need to convince others you have changed because the change will be obvious. As you walk with Jesus daily let the witness of the changes taking place in you come from others and not from you. If we have to prove to someone that God has really changed us most likely we have not been really changed. Those around us will surely notice when our life has been transformed by our relationship with Jesus because there is no mistaking a life transformed by God!
