Stand Firm in Faith

Week of January 31, 2025

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)

As we take this journey of faith, we are constantly reminded that the Christian life is not without its challenges. There are times of triumph, but there are also times of trials. In all things, we are called to remain steadfast, immovable, and diligent in our work for the Lord.

Paul’s words in our scripture text are not only words of encouragement, but also words of command. Whatever we do for God has eternal value. Whatever circumstances we face, God remains true and our labor of love is never wasted or in vain.

To be steadfast means to be unshaken. The world around us is constantly changing, but our faith must remain firm. When doubts come, when burdens weigh heavy, stand on the truth and rely on His promises.

Be immovable. The enemy will try to discourage you, trials can shake your confidence. Remember that our hope is not in this world, but in Christ who is faithful and doesn’t change.

Always abounding in the Lord means keep serving God with passion and diligence. Even when your efforts seem unnoticed and unappreciated. God sees. He is working and rewards those who remain faithful.

Dear God, keep us anchored in Your truth and guided by Your Spirit. In Jesus Name, Amen.

God Bless, Pastor Rick
