Week of April 1, 2022

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteous.” 1 John 1:9 (NKJV)

One of the great privileges and joys of the Christian faith is that no matter what you have done God is always waiting for you to turn to Him in prayer. His love for you is so great that you will always be assured of His forgiveness. It is yours simply for the asking. Confess your sins to Him and He is faithful to forgive you of all your sin. Maybe it is because it seems so simple and easy that so many people do not accept His free gift of grace? Maybe they are too ashamed to confess their sin?

There are two important matters for us to consider. The first one is that God is omniscient or in other words, He knows everything about you. This includes our weaknesses and shortcomings. The second matter is that in spite of all that He knows about you, He still loves you and always will. He proved it when He died on the cross. Open your heart to Him and you will experience the forgiveness of His limitless love.
