Growing Spiritually

Week of July 26, 2019

“For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness” (PSALM 107:9, NKJV)

Spiritual discontentment can be a blessing in disguise.  When a person becomes discontented with their self, they can then begin to improve and become the person God intended them to be.

Dissatisfaction with your spiritual state can be the start to a greater understanding of God, as well as a more intimate relationship with Him.  You become aware of your desire to know God in His fullness.  You want your experience with God to be more realistic.  You discover a hunger in your heart to know God more intimately.

If you sense you are in a far country like the prodigal son in the Gospel of Luke, return with all of your heart to God.  Return to the basic elements of your faith.  When Christ is at the center of your life, you will be inspired by God.  It won’t be long before you realize that you truly are growing spiritually in your walk with Christ.  This should be the heart’s desire of every believing Christian disciple

God Bless, Pastor Rick
